“Lock the Taskbar” is Grayed Out in Taskbar Properties

You are unable to Lock the Taskbar because the option is grayed out.

1. Click START–>RUN and type REGEDIT
2. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
then SOFTWARE
then Microsoft
then
Windows
then CurrentVersion
then Policies
then Explorer
Delete the LockTaskbar value and close out of REGEDIT.
